Beautiful art and music. Easy to understand mechanics. I am poor at platform jumping but I had fun at what portions I could complete.  XD

Nice Game! Enjoyed the mechanics, love hiding in the bushes. 288s was my time >_<

Cool and simple game! Basic mechanics, but a lot to be expanded on, especially with the power-up system. Nice game! Keep at it!

Ooooh this one feels really nice to play, the mechanics and systems are so solid and fun.

Usually I start my reviews with something nice and then go into feedback and negatives and then turn back to something nice but honestly I don't really have any meaningful feedback to give you, this was just a wonderful little game and felt great from start to end.

Just as I was making mental notes in my head as I played the game I was thinking "Man I wish there was like a hiding mechanic ontop of the stealth, just the sightlines is kinda basic" then literally 2 seconds later I got to the bushes and was like "Oh wow this is literally exactly what I wanted".

The art was fantastic the pixel art though not overly detailed was really nice and communicated the shapes and designs really well. The animation was great across the board and the environment looked really good too.

The music and SFX were solid and really gave the impression of being a sneaky little dude in the middle of the night.

I will say I wish there was more to the game and the crafting. Getting double jump IMMEDIATELY felt awesome and intuitive.

Speaking of intuitive let's talk about the boss fight. A culmination of your learned skills through the level to beat the boss and then signaling the player to jump to the obvious weak spot with zero tutorial or prompts? 10/10 design. You literally made it so well that it didn't need to be explained to be understood and executed.

My biggest complaint is the game was so short! Give me more!

The game reminded me of old sega games i used to play as a kid. the boss  especially reminded me of bouncing off Dr Robotnic in the first act of Sonic. Good work team~ good work on the music and sfx too!

Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed the music :)

Simple but good game. I enjoyed the boss fight! I think the enemies' vision range should be visible while moving to take out the guesswork a bit.

The game is so nice to play! (care there is some hit box of some tiles that are lacking hehe)

Thanks! If you don't mind, could you tell me where some tile hitboxes are missing?

I only remember one just on top of me in the beginning hehe :

Great gaem :)

Thank you for playing!

This game was a lot of fun, and played with some interesting concepts for hiding from enemies, yall did a really great job, I also really appreciate how forgiving it was to get caught, good job all!

Thanks! We appreciate the feedback!

This game is very cool, i really enjoyed it, and i think the interpretation of you being "in the shadows" is a very clever way to use the shadows theme, and it's executed very wonderfully here!

but i do have one complain, and that is the game feel of the platforming...yeah, it's good, but in my opinion it is too floaty, this complain can be ignored tho as it is more or so a personal preference

this game gets a wowie/10

Aye thanks for the feedback! Noted on the movement mechanics, I'll try to keep that in mind for our next games :p

This was very cool! I love the art and music, and the mechanics of the boss fight were clever for a stealth game if a little confusing at first. I ended up playing through it a couple times to see if I was missing anything and it was quite fun trying to go as fast as possible. Great job and very polished for the time frame!

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it!

Glad to hear, thanks a lot!

Wow! This is a really well polished game! I love how you teach the mechanics both through the text and through level design! Towards the end I felt really comfortable with the movement system, and the double jump felt great to use!
I appreciate the use of a coyote jump, it made the platforming a lot nicer!

The final boss was a bit of a jump, I felt as though after spending the game trying to avoid the creatures, going towards them and attacking them was a bit jarring at first. However, the arrow indicator was a great help!

The art style is very well done! The creature design and animations are great! I would've liked to have a visual indicator in the difference between the standing and roaming creatures, as they have different vision lines, but you introduced them in such a way that made me instinctively check their vision before approaching.

A redesign of the vision display wouldn't be unwelcome, as the solid line feels a bit odd, maybe a typical vision cone would be nicer? But it gets the job done!

The music was a nice touch, giving a dark forest kind of vibe, setting the atmosphere well, and wasn't too repetitive. A+!

I did spend an embarassingly long time trying to reach the platform at the start of the game, even treking all the way back after getting the double jump, much to my dissapointment. Was hoping for an easter egg.

But overall, lovely game! It was fun to play and I enjoyed sneaking about as a little cheeky lad. Can't wait to see more!

Wow thanks for all the feedback!

The vision cones are basically programmer art that we didn't have time to get back to haha.

I actually considered that doing that exact easter egg at some point but I think I forgot about it lol

Awesome, glad you had fun! I'll keep those things in mind for our next game :p
